1. Going to Setup menu and select RIP Configuration > ColorThe attribute of visual experience that can be described using the dimensions of Hue, Saturation, and Brightness. Matching Table.
2. In the “Color Matching Table” dialog, select [Print Mode Defined Colors] tab (Figure 1)..
3. Click [Select Mode] button. (NOTE: Make sure a print mode must be selected before any spot colors can be added.)
4. Select [Printer], [MediaA paper or other substrate that the printer creates images on. Group], [Media Name], and [Print Mode] (Figure 2).
5. Click [OK].

1. In the “Print Mode Defined Colors” tab, click [Add] button.
2. Enter a name for the spot color. Next enter the output values the mode will use to make the color (Figure 3).
3. Click [OK].

 

TIP: Printing a spot color, like a PANTONE or HKS color may not always come out acceptable with a given print condition. This problem can be addressed by using [Print Mode Defined Colors]. The first step is determining the replacement output values. SwatchStandard print image used by RIP-Queue for profile generation. A swatch contains multiple patches. Books will help find the right replacement values. Enter these values for a new color in [Print Mode Defined Colors] tab. The name for the new color must be the same name as the original spot color name. The ONYX software will first look at the Print Mode Defined Colors. If a match is found, the search stops. The new values are used.

 

NOTE: You must enable [Use Spot ColorA specific color or type applied to individual graphic items. Replacement Table] in Quick SetA group of settings that is applied to images to create jobs in an efficient manner..
